3 Ways To Make Your Trade Show Stand More Impactful

Austin trade show stand

In today’s competitive marketplace, exhibitors must take so many factors into account. For example, they have to strategize about how to make their trade show stand most impactful. With so many different brands and products trying to capture the attention of event attendees, it has never been more important for a company’s booth to stand apart from the rest. How can exhibitors design their booths in order to maximize the ability to capture the attention of potential customers and lead them to a positive experience with the brand? Below, we’ll discuss three specific ways to increase the impact of your trade show stand.

Austin trade show stand#1 – Maximize the presence of your trade show stand.

One very basic way to boost impact is to maximize your presence at events. For example, island exhibits are perfect for exhibitors that have ample space and budget. These exhibits range in size from 20′ x 20′ to 30′ x 30′. With such sizes, potential customers are sure to notice these exhibits and will determine that the particular company is probably an industry leader. Companies that don’t have the budget or space for large island exhibits still have other options for creatively maximizing their brand’s presence at events. For example, a company could design a number of banner stands and place them throughout an event space. This exposes visitors to the brand professionally and consistently.

#2 – Strategize your marketing efforts in order to reach the target market.

An exhibitor that wants to optimize the success of its booth must strategize about marketing and promotional efforts. For this reason, it is absolutely necessary for an exhibitor to know who its target market is. Understanding the market segment provides exhibitors with valuable knowledge that will help them attract the desired audience. It’s helpful to research the demographics of the market segment, such as gender, race, family dynamics, and income. It’s also helpful to consider the personal, social, cultural, and psychological factors that play a part in consumer behavior. Researching the target market provides companies with insight into how to design their trade show stand in such a way that it most effectively reaches the desired audience.

#3 – Add value to event attendees.

One of the most effective ways to make a trade show stand impactful for consumers is by adding value for visitors. Companies that are most successful are those that figure out how to add value for potential customers. There are a variety of ways that businesses can add value. One of the best ways is to provide attendees with incredible customer service. This means putting the most charismatic team members at the booth. Potential customers will be blown away by interacting with employees who have strong interpersonal skills and who seek to surpass customer expectations. No matter what the industry, customer service is a big selling point for consumers. There are a number of other ways for a business to add value at its trade show stand. Other ideas include hosting games and contests, free giveaways, product demonstrations, and more.

They key to making your trade show stand impactful is to create an experience for customers that will result in a long-term relationships with your company.

Xtreme Xhibits Provides U.S. Army Africa Command With Unique Austin Trade Show Stand

Xtreme Xhibits is pleased to announce that it recently completed the work on an event for the U.S Army’s Africa Command. Although Xtreme Xhibits is best known for creating dynamic San Antonio trade show exhibits, the company was able to create an exhibit that highlighted the Army’s humanitarian mission in Africa instead of a traditional Austin trade show stand that’s designed to sell products or services.

How Xtreme Xhibits’ Experience With San Antonio Trade Show Exhibits Helped The U.S. Army

Xtreme Xhibits’ experience is primarily with creating a dynamic San Antonio trade show booth, and this experience served the U.S. Army well. Representatives from Xtreme Xhibits met with representatives from the U.S. Army more than six months before the exhibit was to be used at the Association of the U.S. Army Annual Meeting in Washington D.C.

After reviewing a number of different designs from the San Antonio trade show exhibits designer, the Commanding General of the U.S. Army Africa, Maj. Gen. David R. Hogg chose the final design last spring. After the winning design was chosen, Austin trade show stand staff got started on the actual construction. Throughout the entire process, the designers kept representatives of the U.S. Army Africa Command updated.

Creating The Stand Like Any Other Austin Trade Show Stand

Like any other Austin trade show stand created by Xtreme Xhibits, the story of the client, the Army’s Africa Command, paid a key part in the design. The Army wanted an interactive stand, so a dozen members from the command interacted with visitors using hand-held Wi-Fi terminals, interactive displays, videos and more to show off the command’s social media sites and the Army Africa story. Using interactive displays, social media and more allowed the U.S. Army representatives working at the booth the opportunity to really explain the work that’s being done in Africa and first hand knowledge as to why they think it’s important.

At The Association Of The U.S. Army Annual Meeting

Over 100 different exhibits were debuted at the Association of the U.S. Army Annual Meeting. The San Antonio trade show exhibit highlighting the work done by the work of the U.S. Army Africa Command was instantly recognized as one of the most unique and dynamic. The stand paid tribute to the humanitarian work done in Africa, including disaster relief, civic assistance and regional security and highlights the partnerships that are being fostered on a daily basis.

Because Xtreme Xhibits focuses on creating one of a kind San Antonio trade show exhibits, the company was able to create a design that was inventive, interactive and dynamic. The feedback from the U.S. Army Africa Command was overwhelmingly positive.

“It’s an honor and a special privilege to be entrusted with building an exhibit for the military. While I’m grateful for all of our long-term clients and every client we design a San Antonio trade show booth for, the military is a special customer and their designs and requirements are unique. Fabricating the U.S. Army Africa exhibit this year was one of my most favorite projects,” said Scott Amerie, vice president of Xtreme Xhibits.

Choosing Giveways For Your San Antonio Trade Show Displays

Giveaways at your San Antonio trade show displays are a great way to attract attention, but some companies are hesitant to do use them. If you’re not sure why you should give away items at your San Antonio trade show exhibits, consider these points.

Why Bother Giving Away Freebies At Your Austin Trade Show Display

It’s well known that certain giveaways bring in traffic to San Antonio trade show displays. These giveaways can help improve exposure to your brand, as well as strengthen your company’s image in the eyes of current customers. Giveaway items will also work alongside your promotional literature and samples.

What Items Should You Give Away?

The right giveaway can make or break an Austin trade show display. When determining what types of items you should use, consider these points:

  • Image – Consider your company’s image before choosing a promotional giveaway for your San Antonio trade show displays. The items should be consistent with the image you want to convey.
  • Price – Many companies look through the catalog of promotional materials and choose the cheapest item possible to give away at their San Antonio trade show exhibits. Sure this can save your company money up front, but what happens if a client gets a pen that doesn’t work and throws it out immediately when they leave your Austin trade show display? This item hasn’t done you any good. Spend a little more for a quality product that will last and keep your name in the front of your client’s mind.
  • Utility – Giving away a one of a kind item attracts attention and ensures extended exposure. Right or wrong, people feel like an exclusive product is valuable. When choosing your giveaway, look for someone that’s unique, but also useable. Things like pens and notepads are usable and can be unique if you choose one that stands out from the rest. Other things you can give away include portfolios, calendars and notepads, but consideration should be given to high-tech items like USB drives and WiFi finders. Other unique and useful items include tote bags and hand sanitizer.
  • Contact information – Handing out a pen, notepads or other items will do you no good if they’re not branded. Make sure everything you’re handing out has your logo or business name on it, as a bare minimum. It’s better if you can add in a website, phone number or other contact information so clients won’t have to go far to find you.

Using Your San Antonio Trade Show Displays To Distribute Giveaways

Giveaways need to be handed out in a productive manner. You want to get your gifts in the hands of the decision makers at the companies you’re talking with. Also, don’t leave your gifts piled on the table for people to take from your San Antonio trade show displays. If you do this, customers will see little to no value in something you’re will to hand out so easily. Instead, make it a point to hand a gift to each customer personally.

One way to do this is to use an attention getting device like a prize wheel. A prize wheel will let your visitors spin a wheel at your Austin trade show display to win one of your prizes. Afterwards, consider asking visitors what they thought of your prizes and how you could improve the next time you take your San Antonio trade show displays somewhere else.

There’s definite value in handing out free gifts at your San Antonio trade show exhibits, especially if you choose a product that people want, you could see a great return on your investment.

Handing A High-Value Sample At A Trade Show Booth

Having a sample of your company’s most recent product at your trade show exhibit is one of the best ways to guarantee a successful conference. It allows visitors to see their potential investment, to try it before they buy it and thus know exactly what they’re getting.

In some cases, placing a sample at your trade show booth is simple. You may find the sample to be expendable, or you may even want to give it away so people can try it for themselves at home. Difficulties arise when the nature of your product prevents it from being presented at a trade show stand because it is too valuable to risk. There are many products that fit this description. Everything from jewelry to artifacts and high-tech computer parts are too valuable to be put in a trade show exhibit without any kind of protection. Fortunately, you have options. There are three major choices that you can select. They will all keep your product somewhat safe, but many of the more secure ones have a bigger impact on your overall trade show booth.

Choice #1: Put Your Product In A Display Case

Having a display case in your trade show stand will ensure that your product cannot be stolen, but it will also ensure that no one can interact with that product because it’s locked away. Display cases that are placed in a trade show exhibit can also be on the expensive side, as they must be carefully built in order to be resilient. If you choose this option for your trade show stand, it is strongly recommended that you have several different samples at different angles in the case. Visitors would want to examine the item for themselves, and if they cannot remove it from the case, they’ll at least be able to see it fully in the display.

Choice #2: Allow Your Visitors To Handle The Item Outside Its Case

This solution sacrifices some of the protective value of a display case for a substantially greater ability to showcase your product. In this scenario, visitors to your trade show exhibit can handle the product only upon request, and likely under close supervision from one of your staffers. You’ll know exactly who is handling your product at any time, and you’ll have close control over where it is. There is little risk of it being removed from your trade show booth, as you can always know in whose hands it rests. In addition, you won’t need to be concerned about it being stolen from your trade show stand when you step away from the booth: the case will keep it protected when not being handled.

Choice #3: Bring In Private Security

For big ticket items, adding security may be a necessity, even if you have a case for your product. Human security adds a level of safety simply because it is very visible, very noticeable, and a very good deterrent to would-be criminals. The main concern with this choice is that private security, even for a small trade show booth, can be expensive.

Focus On Security, But Don’t Forget Your Visitors

Emphasizing the security of your product can often cause marketers to lose sight of their overall goal: to make visitors feel welcome and to help them understand the product. If your trade show exhibit cannot do this with the necessary security precautions protecting your product sample, then you’re probably better off foregoing the sample. Having your product on display is ideal, but not if it means losing an open and inviting trade show stand.
